Affects Of Stress When Pregnant

Stress during pregnancy has now been conclusively linked to emotional and development problems in offspring. Mothers who suffer from stress while pregnant are at a greater risk of having children with
developmental delays, learning and attention difficulties, anxiety and depressive symptoms, and are even at greater risk of giving birth to children with autism. The researchers involved in this study will be presenting their findings at an international conference entitled, “Long Term Consequences of Early Life Stress,” which will be held at Mishkenot Sha’ananim in Jerusalem on October 29 and 30, 2008.
